These Terms govern use of JarlMoto and its current and future marketplace services, including J-Mall, Motors, Property, Jobs, Services, Agriculture, Food, messaging, fulfillment and related features. Some services may also have additional rules shown before you use them.
1. Your JarlMoto account
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. One email address is intended to identify one JarlMoto account. Your account can be used to buy, message and access JarlMoto services; selling is an additional capability on the same account. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorized access.
2. Eligibility and lawful use
You may use JarlMoto only if you can lawfully enter the relevant transaction and comply with applicable law. Services or categories that require additional age, identity, licensing, professional or regulatory requirements may require verification before use. Do not use JarlMoto for fraud, unlawful activity, prohibited goods or services, harassment, impersonation, manipulation of reviews, circumvention of platform protections, or interference with the service.
3. Listings, stores and marketplace conduct
Sellers are responsible for truthful descriptions, lawful ownership or authority to sell, accurate prices, availability, condition, location and other material facts. JarlMoto may reject, limit, remove or review listings that violate law, marketplace rules, safety requirements or these Terms. Contact information may be restricted in public listings so buyers and sellers can use JarlMoto messaging and transaction protections.
4. Buying and agreements between users
Before committing to an internet transaction, buyers should be shown material transaction information and have an opportunity to review and correct their choices. Depending on the feature, a transaction may be a protected marketplace purchase, pickup, seller delivery, JarlMoto-supported delivery, local deal, service request, viewing request, application or another form of agreement. Additional transaction terms presented at checkout or confirmation become part of the applicable agreement.
5. Prices, fees and taxes
JarlMoto may charge marketplace, promotion, payment, delivery or other disclosed fees. The applicable seller fee or estimated proceeds will be disclosed in the relevant seller or transaction experience before it is charged. Sellers remain responsible for setting lawful prices and for taxes or regulatory obligations applicable to their activity unless the law or a specific JarlMoto service states otherwise.
6. Payments and protected transactions
Payments may be processed by authorized third-party payment providers. A JarlMoto status such as payment confirmed means the platform has received the applicable provider confirmation; it does not necessarily mean funds have been finally or irreversibly settled to a seller. JarlMoto may record protected, pending, disputed, refundable or payout-eligible states and instruct a payment provider according to the transaction rules. JarlMoto does not describe funds as legal escrow unless the applicable regulated arrangement supports that characterization.
7. Fulfillment, pickup and delivery
Users must follow the fulfillment method selected for the transaction. JarlMoto may use delivery evidence, PINs, QR codes, photos, timestamps, status events or other reasonable verification methods. Delivery partners, sellers and buyers must not falsify fulfillment evidence. Separate delivery-partner terms may apply when JarlMoto dispatch services launch.
8. Problems, cancellations, returns and refunds
Where available, buyers should use Report a Problem or the Resolution Center promptly. JarlMoto may protect settlement while a qualifying issue is being resolved. Refunds, replacements, returns, releases and other outcomes depend on the transaction, evidence, applicable policy and law. JarlMoto may refer unresolved or high-risk cases for review. Nothing in these Terms removes non-waivable consumer rights.
9. Messages, reviews and user content
You retain responsibility for content you submit. You grant JarlMoto the rights reasonably necessary to host, display, process, moderate and distribute that content for operating and promoting the service, subject to our Privacy Policy. Messages may be retained for safety, dispute handling and legal compliance. Reviews must reflect genuine experiences and may be moderated for abuse or manipulation.
10. Motors, Property, Jobs, Services and other departments
JarlMoto may provide discovery and transaction tools across different industries. A listing does not by itself constitute JarlMoto's warranty of a vehicle, property, employer, worker, service provider, title, professional qualification or regulatory status. Specialized departments may require inspections, verification, deposits, viewing rules, employment rules or additional terms before particular features are enabled.
11. Safety, verification and enforcement
JarlMoto may use proportionate security, identity, fraud and marketplace-integrity controls. We may warn, restrict, suspend or terminate access; delay or prevent a transaction; preserve evidence; or cooperate with payment providers and lawful authorities where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance or enforcement. Where appropriate, affected users may be offered a review or appeal process.
12. Intellectual property
JarlMoto's name, branding, software, design and platform materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. These Terms do not transfer ownership of JarlMoto intellectual property to users. Users must have rights to images, descriptions, trademarks and other content they upload.
13. Availability and responsibility
We work to keep JarlMoto reliable and safe, but services may change, be interrupted or contain errors. To the extent permitted by law, JarlMoto is not responsible for losses caused solely by another user's unlawful conduct or by events outside reasonable control. Any limitation in these Terms is subject to mandatory consumer and other applicable rights and does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as JarlMoto develops. Material changes will be communicated or presented for renewed acceptance where appropriate. The version and acceptance time may be recorded with your account.
15. Governing framework and support
JarlMoto is Kenya-first and these Terms are intended to operate consistently with applicable Kenyan law, including consumer-protection and data-protection requirements. Additional mandatory law may apply based on the user, transaction or country. For account or transaction help, use the JarlMoto Help Center and provide your JarlMoto Account Number when requested.
